About Andrea

For fifteen years, my cast glass sculptures have reconciled the visceral with the ethereal. Drawing from organic forms, I explore themes of mortality, sensuality, and identity. By manipulating transparency and light, I create space for introspection, inviting viewers to navigate the complex, often hidden layers of the human experience.

I utilise intricate hand-modelling techniques to shape my work. By carefully engaging with the inherent properties of glass—specifically its capacity for transparency and translucency — it imbues my sculptures with a profound sense of depth and luminosity.
